Enhancing Quality in the Translational Research Workforce Conference

This conference is open to professionals in clinical and translational research including investigators, clinical research coordinators, research nurses, monitors, project and site managers, regulatory staff, research assistants, and allied health professionals. The conference offers the opportunity to gain additional knowledge on current trends and issues in clinical research for application in their professional setting.  This year's agenda will include a networking reception at the conclusion of the event.

Evan D. Muse, MD, PhD, Scripps Research Translational Institute

Denise Snyder, MS, RD, LDN, Associate Dean for Clinical Research, Duke University School of Medicine, Duke Office of Clinical Research (DOCR)

 Program Objectives 

Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:
1.  Examine the impact of major trends and forces in the Clinical Research Enterprise.
2.  Discuss the evolving role of Research Ethics Consultation Service (REC).
3.  Recognize and embrace the challenges involved in designing and incorporating new layers of participant-generated data in research and care.
4.  Describe the benefits of professionalizing the clinical research workforce.



Contact Hours

This continuing nursing education activity is under review by the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sceiences (NUCATS) Institute.  Provider approved by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing, Provider Number CEP 15198.  Participants must attend the conference in full to receive contact hours.

If all requirements are met, certificates will be sent out 6-8 weeks from the date of the event.


REGISTRATION IS CLOSED - EVENT SOLD OUT. There are no refunds unless the event is canceled by NUCATS Institute before the start of the program. Walk-in registrations will not be accepted.

If you registered for complimentary parking during the registration process, please make sure to park at one of these two options: Erie Ontario Parking (321 E. Erie) or Huron Superior Parking (222 E. Huron). You must collect a parking ticket upon entry into the garage and then a ticket voucher will be provided to you at the Information Desk at the event. 

A complimentary parking voucher can only be guaranteed for those who pre-registered for parking.  Please note that we encourage you to arrive early to secure a parking spot at one of these two garages.  Although we anticipate parking availability for all, it is never guaranteed. We also encourage public transportation for those who have that option available.
