The second presentation discussed ARCC’s efforts to build organizational community-based participatory research capacity for community partners through two grants from The Chicago Community Trust. This was presented by Roxane Medina (Youth Empowering Strategies/YES!, ARCC Steering Committee Member and Mentor), Hyeyoung Lee (Korean American Community Services and Mentee) and Kaoru Watanabe (Cambodian Association of Illinois and Mentee).

Additionally, ARCC Director Jen Kauper-Brown co-presented an oral session with partners from the University of Chicago’s Urban Health Initiative and Washington Park Consortium on the Community Grand Rounds series.  All sessions were very well received and team returned to Chicago inspired and with many new ideas to share.
