IRB Brown Bag Seminars

Business for Scientists

Evidence-Based Practice Project
Evidence-based practice involves the conscientious, explicit use of best available evidence, integrated with consideration of patient characteristics, preferences, and resources to make decisions about the care of individuals and communities.  Commissioned by the National Institutes of Health in 2006, the transdisciplinary Evidence-Based Practice Project creates online learning tools to help bridge the gap between research and practice.  Five modules are available: (1) the Evidence-Based Practice Process; (2) Search for Evidence; (3) Critical Appraisal; (4) Randomized Controlled Trials; and (5) Systematic Reviews.  They can be accessed free of charge or for CE credit by clicking here.
