Deborah Lasher, RN, MPH, CCRC is the 2008 Board Chair of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP). Deb has worked in clinical research over the past two decades in a variety of roles as coordinator, site manager and sponsor representative. Currently, she is working as a Senior Clinical Research Specialist at Medtronic, Inc., a global medical device company headquartered in Minneapolis, MN. An Overview of ACRP: The Association of Clinical Research Professionals presented by Deborah Lasher, RN, MPH, CCRC, Association Board of Trustees Chair, Association of Clinical Research Professionals Clinical trials today are more global than ever before. As the clinical research enterprise continues to expand, the demand for a unified standard of practice is increasing with each year. ACRP and our affiliate entities, the Academy of Pharmaceutical Physicians and Investigators (APPI) and the Academy of Clinical Research Professionals (the Academy), strive to harmonize the conduct of clinical trials through a vast network of Chapters and Global Partnerships in over 67 countries around the world. This presentation will address the ACRP programs in place to address the needs of clinical researchers and the membership structure available to connect professionals around the globe. 1. Participants will understand the structure of the Association of Clinical Research Professionals and how services are delivered to a global audience
2. Participants will learn about the educational opportunities available via ACRP
