The Research Discovery Program (RDP) of the NUCATS Institute promotes, facilitates, and catalyzes interactive and collaborative clinical and translational research across the the NU enterprise. The RDP responsibilities include:

  1. Coordinating NUCATS pilot grant funding initiatives.

  2. Activities to enhance collaboration and commercialization of translational research at NU, such as planning new seminars and workshops, walking the halls to help connect researchers to each other and the outside world, and providing a concierge-like function.

  3. Leading an effort to establish a continuously expanding database of researchers, new ideas, technologies and methods being developed across NU. This master database will serve as an essential resource to facilitate new collaborations and lead to more targeted applications for external funding.
