BLOCK BY BLOCK: CERC is partnering with the Center for Neighborhood Technology and the Chicago Metropolitan Planning Agency to offer support for geospatial analysis (community mapping) of health and social issues for community-based participatory research project teams working with CERC. On March 14, Greg Sanders from CMAP and Albert Benedict from CNT presented a seminar about the services offered by their organization.
REDUCING HEALTH DISPARITIES: In April, CERC co-sponsored a presentation at the Consortium to Lower Obesity in Chicago's Children quarterly meeting presented by Barbara Israel, Dr. P.H. of the University of Michigan and Angela Reyes, M.P.H. of the Detroit Hispanic Development Corporation, describing their community-based participatory research partnership to benefit the Detroit area.
