|  | Dr. Abel Kho is the assistant director of the REACH practice based research network, based in the General Internal Medicine department at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. He is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine and Co-Director of the Medical Informatics Program, at FSM, and an Affiliated Scientist at the Regenstrief Institute, Inc. Dr. Khocompleted a National Library of Medicine fellowship in Medical Informatics at the Regenstrief Institute, Inc in Indianapolis. He was directly involved in implementing information technology within the Indiana University Medical Group PBRN (IUMG ResNET). He created an electronic system to automatically identify research patients at their followup visits which continues in use today and has spoken on this topic at the annual AHRQ PBRN conference. He has experience with creating electronic networks spanning multiple institutions and has developed electronic means for infection control providers to share infection data across the major healthcare providers within Indianapolis. |  |
