Gina Curry, B.S,  is a Community Networker with the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Program in the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences (NUCATS) Institute. Gina began working at Northwestern University in 2005 with the Center for Communication and Medicine with Dr. Kenzie Cameron.  She is particularly skilled in community relations and faith based programming. The bulk of her public health experience is in community based participatory research. She serves on the board of directors for Healthy Southeast Chicago, Synergy Counseling Center and Fresh Start Community Outreach Services. She is a member of the Minority Health Association, the Greater Roseland Breast Cancer Task Force and a rape counselor for Roseland Community Hospital. She has served two consecutive terms as the media chairperson for the CDPH Faith & Health Conference planning committee and is the immediate past chair of two American Diabetes Association initiatives; Project Power, a faith based African American diabetes initiative and the annual South Side Walk for a Cure.
