Josefina Alvarez, B.A, is a Community Networker with the Community-Based Participatory Research (CBPR) Program in the Northwestern University Clinical and Translational Sciences (NUCATS) Institute. She has excellent interpersonal skills and experience and knowledge of local community-based organizations. Her most recent position was with Senator Durbin’s Chicago Office as a constituent services and community outreach ambassador.  Prior positions include community liaison to Mayor Richard M. Daley’s re-election campaign, and Project Coordinator at Chicago Public Schools Education to Careers Program. She is a long time volunteer at local organizations like Instituto Del Progreso Latino, Casa Central, and Mujeres Latinas en Accion.
