Advancing the NUCATS Institute and its Compelling Vision
At Northwestern, we embrace “bench to bedside” translational research and its tremendous potential to bring discoveries from the laboratory to benefit patients in their diagnosis and care. We recently launched the NUCATS Institute to further excellence in our translational research activities, spark collaborations among investigators from different disciplines, and maximize our contributions to science and medicine. With a number of programs already in place, NUCATS is becoming the home base for clinical and translational science at Northwestern University and its clinical affiliates. Individuals, through their generosity and involvement, are helping us fulfill our commitment to support and advance translational science here at the Feinberg School of Medicine. Private support helps us accelerate the pace of progress by providing funds to: Spearhead promising new research projects; Award competitive “seed” funding to investigators pursuing novel scientific ideas; and Support the infrastructure and resources at the Institute that assist our faculty in their translational research efforts.
