Cite NUCATS

NUCATS is funded in part by a Clinical & Translational Science Award (CTSA) grant from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Publications are the key metric that Congress, the NIH, and Northwestern University use to demonstrate efficient use of grant funding and allows us to effectively compete for CTSA renewal. That permits us to support scientists at Northwestern University by providing essential infrastructure, resources and services.

Individuals who must cite the CTSA in their publications include the following groups:

  • K scholars and T trainees (link all manuscripts resulting from work done while funded by the CTSA and any downstream publications that flow directly from K and T research activities)
  • Individuals directly funded by pilot, voucher, Dixon or other similar mechanisms provided by NUCATS
  • Individuals who use NUCATS resources and services (e.g., regulatory support, budgets, biostatistics, Northwestern Medicine Enterprise Data Warehouse) for a research project and any downstream publications that flow directly from the project

If you conduct research at Northwestern University that touches NUCATS in some way, please cite our grant.

Please use the following disclaimer to acknowledge the CTSA in your publications if you have used any NUCATS services or resources. If you used NUCATS resources and services prior to Aug. 11, 2015, please contact   navigator@northwestern.edu  for the correct citation.
